Every rating comes from a parent who submits scores in three categories — player development, communication, and team culture — on a 1 to 5 scale. A coach's overall score is the average of every approved rating across those three categories.
Any parent or guardian with a player in the program. You create a free account so each household rates a coach once per season, which keeps the board honest and prevents brigading.
You can choose to publish your written review anonymously. Your name is never shown alongside scores, and coaches never see your account details.
Submissions are screened for harsh or abusive language and flagged for human review before publishing. Coaches can claim their profile and formally challenge any review they believe is false; our team reviews the challenge and can hide the review.
Yes. Once a coach claims their profile, they can publish a public response beneath any review on their page.

No. Sideline Guideline is independent. Clubs and coaches cannot pay for placement, and no rating is ever edited or removed on request without a reviewed challenge.
